Community Enagement
I am dedicated to fostering lifelong student success and entrepreneurial growth within my community. At Georgia State University, I collaborate on the Lifelong Student Success Subcommittee and the Center for Engaged Business Research (CEBR), maximizing research value for practitioners and scholars alike.

In 2019, I established the Cobb Community Alliance, uniting 17 African American organizations to enhance voter engagement, youth empowerment, and community alignment. With a long-standing commitment to education, I've served on various boards at Kennesaw State University, contributing to the Coles College of Business, EMBA Advisory council, EMBARK, and Alumni Board.

My involvement extends to global business connections as a Global Advisor to the Atlanta chapter of the Global Chamber. I've also played a pivotal role in fostering collaboration among African American Greek fraternities and sororities as the past president of the Cobb County graduate chapter of the National Pan-Hellenic Council.

Committed to entrepreneurial empowerment, I've founded Urban Physiology, LLC, guiding young individuals through a seamless journey from high school entrepreneurship to successful college graduates. As Founder and CEO of Southeastern Global Partners, LLC, I drive economic and business development through strategic alliances across the Southeastern US.

Dr. Carson is a proud active financial member of the award winning Chi Gamma Gamma chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. where he maintains involvement in youth engagement, education initiatives and D9 alignment activities.
Dr. Carson loves to spend time with one of the most dynamic NPHC's in the world exploring opportunities to extend the reach and impact of the collaborative strength of the D9. He is most noted for his 2018 presidency of this local chapter as well as his ongoing support and coordination of the citywide annual Divine 9 Night with the Atlanta Braves raising money for college scholarships.
In 2019, Dr. Leroy Carson, Jr. catalyzed a transformative movement by uniting 17 distinct African American organizations under the banner of the Cobb Community Alliance. Fueled by a shared vision of empowerment and progress through voter engagement, these organizations forged an unprecedented collaboration, pooling their resources and expertise to magnify their influence within the community for that national election cycle. With an unwavering commitment to voter engagement and education, they harnessed the power of collective voices to ignite meaningful change. Their journey, chronicled through thought-provoking discussions with candidates seeking this community’s vote captured in videos on the alliance’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/CobbCommunityAlliance/videos), serves as an enduring testament to the potential of unity and determination in shaping the future of their community.
